Currency Guide - Santorini (Thira) International Airport (JTR)

Santorini (Thira) International Airport (JTR)

Santorini International Airport, also known as Thira Airport, is located on the East side of the Greek island, close to Kamari village. It is the largest in the south Aegean Sea and also serves as a fighter base. With its relatively small apron, the airport is only able to serve up to 6 civilian planes at the same time. The airport serves both as a military and as a civil airport.

The airport can be reached from most international airports of Greece via Athens and Thessaloniki. Also, numerous charter flights from different European Cities fly directly to the island during the summer period.
